Motivation - in conjunction with the Map visual, set up next horizontally (x) and vertically (y) the following:
to control precisely the range of (lat, long) to display. Apparently, switching to "list slicer" for latitude can display vertically, but it is awkward to <cntl>-click multiple latitude values to specify range from top to bottom latitude. A vertical "between slicer" is natural.
Q: workaround, anyone?
Hi mindta
When you want to use Latitude and longitude to find area, if you choose longitude, there are many cities in the same longitude, so you need to click multiple selections in slicer when you use List Slicer, this is by design. I am not very clear about your requirement? What did you mean of “latitude "between slicer" as vertical”? Did you want to show it like below? Or other requirement? If possible, could you please inform me in details?
There is no direct setting for this. One workaround is that you could try to create two slicer, one chooses “less than”, the other chooses “greater than”

Alternate - custom visual template to convert horizontal slicer to vertical?
p.s. sinlge vertical slicer provides perspective of proportion (important for acreage in oil and gas or minerals) working with geospatial data.
hi Zoe, yes right you are on the vertical sideway slicer.
How do you get that slicer vertical display?
p.s. while controling min and max in page display can do the job, my goal is to go with touch / sliding as on smartphone. Muchas gracias.
