Display custom text in tooltips for a matrix

Hello All,

I've a Matrix which displays the Quality metrics we use and their corresponding scores. My ask here is, whenever a new user hovers on the metrics, I want the tooltips to give a brief desription of each metric so they are aware of what they're looking at. But the description for the metrics is not being pulled in the sql query. Looks like they need to be added from Power bi end and linked to the tooltip. Could someone help me how I can achieve this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @sk30 - you can create a Tooltip Page by adding a new page in your Power BI report.
Go to the Format pane, and set the Page size to Tooltip.
Add a card or table visual to this page.
Drag the Description field from the MetricDescriptions table to the visual.

Thanks Rajendra for a quick respose. I'll give this a try.

So, I need to go ahead and do another data pull, probably an excel import to get my custom descriptions into Power BI with metric name acting as the primary to link them both. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Thanks.

Hi @sk30 it works ,please try
