Display current date in date slicer starting date

Hi,   I have requirement to display current date (Today ()) in date slicer filter. Basically my requirement is display current date as start date in slicer.   Thanks, Guru

Yes, TODAY () represnents just today, so you will have just one day in the slicer and hence you dont have the scroll option.

 

Could you please explain your requirement in detail? If posible with sample data/ snapshot.

I have Calculated table created for Dates (From 1st of Jan 2000 to 31st of Dec 2018). It is perfectly working fine with the datasets.

 

Business user wants to set the default dates for the slicer whenever the dashboard opens.

 

Say for example:

If the report opens today, then FromDate in the slicer is 9-Aug-2018 & ToDate is 31st Dec 2018.

If the dashboard viewed tomorrow then FromDate in the slicer is 10-Aug-2018 & ToDate is 31st Dec 2018.

 

Right now, the challenge is I can't able to set the DEFAULT value for date slicer. Hope it is clear. Kindly let me know if there is any workaround. Thanks in Advance.
