Display category labels above or bellow each data bar in a clustered bar chart

Hello everyone,

Along time ago, Microsoft released a custom visual, Horizontal Bar Chart Custom Visual- PBI Visuals, which is now deprecated.

One of the many features of this visual was being able to display categories and data in the same area, by placing the labels bellow the data bars, like so:

This features saves a lot of space in the report page and allows for a nice display of Top customers/products/etc.

After extensive searches for similar custom visuals and trying to replicate a similar affect with the standard visual from Power BI, i wasn't able to find any, non-deprecated, alternative.

Is there any active custom visual, or is there anyway to reproduce in a standard visual of Power BI, the ability to display category labels above or below data bars from a clustered bar chart or similar visual, instead of in the right, left or inside of the bar?

I'd like to suggest you use script based visuals(e.g. R, Python) to manually plot these effect or try to use other custom visual(e.g. denb) which allow you to use code to customize the graphs.

In addition, you can also try to contact to that custom visual author to update the custom visual.

Thank you for the suggestions unfortunently I don't have experience building custom visuals, so it's not a viable solution on the short run.

I've tried contacting the author, hopefully I'll have an answer soon.
