Display Units Format

Hi all

 

is it possible to change the default format settings of the Precomposed Display units "none" , "thousand" , "million" without thousand separator with a thousand separator

i search in PowerBI settings & Report setting and don't find the possibily to customize it

none 3036265245 ==> 3.036.265.245

thousand 3036265,2K ==> 3.036.265,2K

Million 3036,2M ==> 3.036.2M

    Hi, Anonymous 

     

    I have tested with the gragh. It works properly. Please check if any other settings have effects on the result. You may revert the settings to default and then try again. The pbix is attached in the end.

      thanks for quick answer

      Sorry my english is not fluent , so i try to explain better

      my left or right values in my post are not the result of a DAX formatting function , but it is the formatted value i see in a graph or a matrix when i use a "Display unit" (where i can select "Auto" , "none" , "Thousand" , "Million" , "Billion") in "formatting field" section 

      the display unit don't show the value in graph or Matrix with a thousand separator and it is the subject of my help request (not easy to read without)

      how can i have in precomposed display unit the formatting value with the thousand separator (like on the right values of my initial post)

    Is this what you are looking for?  You can choose the display unit when you are creating visuals.

      yes this is what i used ( agreat function, but a major default)

      when for example , you apply "Thousand" to a value 123456789, it is showed like this 1234567K (not easily readable) and not like this 1.234.567K

    Hi, Anonymous 

     

    Based on your description, I created data to reproduce your scenario.

    Table:

     

    You need to click 'Model' view, make 'Column1' selected, set 'Thousands separator' as on.

     

    Then you may go to 'Report' view, make the visual selected, click 'Format'=>'Field formatting', set 'Display units' as 'Thousands'. Here is the result.

      thanks for help

      it is what i made , display Units works well in a grid (with Thousands separator) , but when you use the Display units in a data label for a graph object , as you can see it doesn't work (the data label value has no thousand separator : bug ???)
