Discrepancies between Desktop and PowerBI.com
Hi all.
I've set up a simple matrix within Power BI desktop model using DirectQuery and added a date filter and it works perfectly (see below).
Power BI Desktop
This returns just the dates as expected. However, when publishing the report, the date filter on PowerBI online doesn't match up at all (See below)
Power BI Online
If anyone has any thoughts i'd love to hear a potential fix!
Thanks in advance for your help.

Still need help if possible.
I've also checked in multiple browsers and that didn't help. As you can see in the screenshots though the date's still revert. Is there a chance this would be causing the issue?

I haven't reproduced your issue. The slicer works properly on Power BI Service.
I noticed that your date formats changes on Power BI Service. You may change your system date format
into your current region date format, recreate your slicer and try again.

Hi v-sihou-msft,
I believe I am experiencing the same issue. I am in the UK (standard date format dd/mm/yyyy). Dates are displaying correctly in Power BI Desktop, but when I publish to powerbi.com, they are displaying in US format (m/d/yyyy):
The dates JoHo_BI used are ambigous, but the dates you were testing with are clearly in US format in both shots (4/13/2013), so I'd suggest the issue only arises when using a non-US date format in the Desktop app.
We have a similar issue with SharePoint online, but can change the regional settings when each site is created. I have tried to find a similar configuration option in the Power BI web interface, but been unable to.
Yours,
Rob.
