Direct query not returning live data

I have a report that consumes from a sql azure database… I published it to app.powerbi

I am using direct query in order to get live data...

But its not working as intended; the data is not live. I still have to set up refresh plan - and I am limited to 30’ refresh rate.

So, the reports can run in direct query mode, but the data is not live.  How can I trully get a live data consumption?

I think this is not right, check the mode again.

@Anonymous , if the direct query is running directly on azure SQL, I doubt you need Refresh. There might be few table as imported.

Open the Data model and check the Table type in the property Pane

This should be direct query in your case
