Direct Query using ODBC driver on Google Bigquery

Google Bigquery support the Direct Query mode, but if you have DateTime type date in your dataset, Direct Query mode may not be suitable:

Alternatively, you can consider the following ways to optimize performance:
1. Optimize Your Query: Ensure your query is as efficient as possible. Avoid selecting all columns if you only need a subset. Use WHERE clauses to limit the data returned.
2. Network Latency: Since your Power BI Desktop application is running on a Windows VM, network latency between your VM and Google BigQuery could be a factor. Check the network performance and consider optimizing it if possible.
3. ODBC Driver Configuration: Review the configuration settings of the Simba ODBC driver. Some settings might be adjusted to improve performance, such as increasing the fetch size or enabling/disabling certain performance features.
