Direct Query to Analysis services Refresh issue

Hi Community,

I have a data model in AAS which I used to connect through Connect live earlier. When i connect using connect live, the columns added to datamodel in AAS will reflect immediately in my Dataset also

However, Now we are using Direct query for Analysis Services as per latest update

Now if any columns is added in AAS after we create the dataset in power bi, the changes will reflect only when i manually refresh the Dataset in desktop. 

So my question is, Why new columns are not added to dataset automatically like in Live connection? Do I need to enable any refresh?

PS: In direct query dataset, in service next refresh is shown as NA

You need to distinguish between data refresh and meta data updates.  Your question has nothing to do with data refresh (that's why the service shows NA).

When you switch to composite mode you have the choice to include tables that are added to the data source later. Tables, not columns.

You could consider that a bug, or a missing feature.
