Direct Query question: relationship changed in original model but old relationship pulling through?
Hi Sevs
Are you sure you are using the correct terminology?
Direct Query is when a query connect directly to a data source, for example to SQL table.Import Mode is when a import the query into Power BI.
Both methods use a Semnatic Data Model, and you can have Composite Date Model with some Import Mode queries and some Direct Query queries.A Live Connection is when you connect to an existing Semantic Data Model in the servive.
If make changes to the earlier semantic data model then you may need to reconnect as follows ....
- In Power BI Desktop, go to Transform data" > Data source settings and select the updated semantic model.
- The edit the relationships and visuals if necessary to use the new model

- In Power BI Desktop, go to Transform data" > Data source settings and select the updated semantic model.

Hi speedramps
I appreciate you informing me of the distinction, but just want understand why, after I connect to a Semantic Model, this is shown when I refresh the data?
This is why I always called these connections DirectQuery, but they are actually connections to other Semantic Models.
