Different data between Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service after the upload

I had exactly the same problem. Since I did not find an approved solution, here how I was able to fix the issue.

The change is due to the regional settings which are different for your Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service respectively. Not all regional settings are available in PBI Service. Therefore - lets say you have a regional setting on Switzerland in PBI Desktop -  same query manipulations could potentially result in different results in PBI service due to different regional data formatting. A way to resolve this issue is to change your regional settings in PBI Desktop to regional settings which are supported in PBI service. As done in undermentioned illustration.
