Difference between PowerBI Desktop and online reports

Hi all,

I have a problem with a sales report that work perfectly in PowerBI Desktop but does'nt work in online version.

In detail, the data connector use Dynamics 365 where sales for customers data are stored;

all sales data are perfectly sincronized in desktop version but online the system do not show December 2021 sales data.

A previous same report that I do 6 months ago work fine, but do not use measures that that last one correctly have and use (in desktop mode).

Help me please

  • After many hours I found the problem and solved 1 day ago.

    The problem was the sales calendar Date passed into the service, 1 day  less the information passed into the Desktop.

    Then, the 01/01/22 sales informations into the desktop, was converted to 31/12/21 sales informations on the cloud.

    The solution was to simply create a new sales caledar Date column with +1 day

  • FFilardo , Try to check if there are any filters that mistakenly applied in Online version of report.

    Like the below image you can clear the any applied filters in online report.

    Hi, FFilardo

    Did you try to refresh in the service? Was the refresh successful?

    There are many reasons why a refresh can fail, but by the fact that you describe the same report as working 6 months ago, you can check to see if the version of the gateway is up to date.

    We release a new update of the on-premises data gateway every month. Currently, Microsoft actively supports only the last six releases of the on-premises data gateway. If you're experiencing issues with the version you're using, try upgrading to the latest one as your issue may have been resolved in the latest version.

    If you have information on the details of the failed refresh, please also provide a screenshot.

    This is the relevant document, hope to help you:
