Developer mode pbip issues: can't publish, no leading spaces in columns

I have been testing the developer mode ability to save as .pbip split files to make source control easier, that is a great improvement overal!

However, I'm running into some unexpected limitations:

Any columns in your file that have leading spaces will break PBI so you can't reopen your file.

If you use the existing sample data finance file provided by MSFT under Get Data it will show this problem.

Also, there is no way to publish to the PBI service once you split into developer mode.

You have to convert it back into a standard pbix file and publish it that way.
