Determining Current Project Phase after previous was phase was completed
Hello,
I am trying to determine the current phase of a project after it's preceding phase was completed. The order of phases goes from Planning, Idea, Development & Qualification. I want to be able to show that Planning is the next phase and to filter out Idea, which was already completed and both Dev & Qual that haven't occurred until Planning is complete. Please see the dataset below for reference. Thank you all for the help.
| Project Name | Phase | Milestones | Baseline Finish | Phase # | Phase End (Baseline) | Phase End (LBE) | Phase End (Actual) | Phase Sort Table.Order | Milestone Binary Status | Milestone Status | Completed Milestones |
| Blossom | Idea | IDEA Phase End | 11/18/2020 | 1 | 11/18/2020 | 11/18/2020 | 11/18/2020 | 1 | 1 | Complete | IDEA Phase End |
| Blossom | Planning | PLANNING Phase End | 08/01/2022 | 2 | 08/01/2022 | 08/01/2022 | 2 | 0 | Upcoming | ||
| Blossom | Development | DEVELOPMENT Phase End | 06/12/2023 | 3 | 06/12/2023 | 06/12/2023 | 3 | 0 | Upcoming | ||
| Blossom | Qualification | QUALIFICATION Phase End | 11/14/2024 | 4 | 11/14/2024 | 11/14/2024 | 4 | 0 | Upcoming |
Try to create a new column like below:
Current = var _end = CALCULATE(MAX('Table'[Phase Sort Table.Order]),FILTER(ALLEXCEPT('Table','Table'[Project Name]),NOT(ISBLANK('Table'[Phase End (Actual)])))) var current_ =_end+1 return IF('Table'[Phase Sort Table.Order]=current_,"current_status")
