I am building a new report and loading data for the first time from about 40 different queries with similar column titles. The data loaded without issue, but the program has been stuck on "Detecting ...
This was a useful direction. In the Task Manager, Power BI shows up as several sub processes. So I ended several of them that weren't the main one, which was enough to confuse the relationsihp detector into failing, without crashing the whole thing. Then I was able to save the pbix, edit the preferences to not detect relationships, and then applied the queries with minimal hassle.
Just disconnect from the Internet 😉
