I have a line graph I created that is using a measure to calculate the cumulative amounts for the year based on order date. I just added in our new fiscal year. Copied the measure I created from the others and changed the measure to our new fiscal year, just like all the others have. The visual in desktop works and looks exactly how it is supposed to, but when I published it the visual is not the same.
Desktop version: (Correct One)
Service Version: (Wrong)
Any idea what could be causing this?
Hi @Lindino08
When a Power BI report behaves differently in Power BI Desktop versus after being published to the Power BI Service, it could be due to a few reasons. Here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Refresh Data: Make sure that the data in Power BI Service is refreshed after publishing. Sometimes, the report may not reflect the latest changes until a manual or scheduled refresh is done.
Check for Errors: After publishing, check for any errors or warnings in the dataset or reports in the Power BI Service. Sometimes measures might not calculate as expected if there are issues with the underlying data model.
Review Relationships and Model: Ensure that all relationships and the data model are intact and that they replicate the same structure as in Power BI Desktop.
Version Compatibility: Make sure you are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop. Older versions might not be fully compatible with the current Power BI Service.
Check Measures: Double-check the DAX formula for the measure you created for the new fiscal year. Ensure that it is referencing the correct columns and that any filters or context transitions are applied correctly.

Jayleny

Same filters are applied.
@Lindino08
Click on the applied filter Button on the header of the visuals and check if the same filters are applied. It could be that an additional filter is causing this.
