Hello,
This thread is similar to what I'm experiencing but the solution hasn't fixed my issue. Smartsheet disabled internet explorer support last month and now my credentials are not recognised when I refresh my power bi reports because it tries to open in IE.
I work on a corporate network so I cannot uninstall and install programs. I have changed my default browser to both Chrome and Edge but it is prompting me to download the software - it isn't recognising it as my default browser.
Any ideas please?

A colleague found a fix -
Open IE, click the settings icon (top right corner) then click on "Compatibility View Settings"
In the window that opens, type " Smartsheet.com" in the [Add this website] box then click the [Add] clickbox.
Then close.
You shouldn't have to restart your computer, and you should be able to access your smartsheet through PBI desktop.
When in Power Bi entering your credentials, you may get a script error, but click yes, and you're good to go.
Hi @Whitney
Strangely, it didn't recognize your default browser, I tried to reproduce this issue but failed. Maybe you can click download as prompted to see if it can be recognized.

Hey @v-xiaotang, if I do that it proceeds to download. I try and go through the process but it stops at 'run' and doesn't do anything. I also have Chrome installed and is my default browser
