Has there been a fix to get the custom visuals to show after importing succesfully if you have to work behind a proxy?
I've been working with the timeline custom visual and used the solution of disconnecting from the proxy here:
however, only the template example worked and showed the visual but when I tried to make a new report and import the visual from scratch it didnt work even when off the proxy.
Are there any other solutions out there?
Thanks.
Hi @FancyDolphin,
Does this issue only occur to the timeline custom visual? Have you tested with other custom visuals?

It seems that the issue not just related to the proxy. Could you try turning off the proxy first, then uninstall and reinstall the latest version of Power BI Desktop to see if it works(2.42.4611.701 64-bit (January 2017))?![]()

So I completely dc'd from the internet and reinstalled powerbi and then imported the visual and it all worked. If I do this everytime before I open it I can actually use it across the report. So that's great because now I have a workaround but....
when I reconnected to the internet and tried to import the timeline I come back to the same issue.
