Design tables for Google Analytics

Hi all,

I would like to do a PowerBI report for our Google Analytics.

My thought for key metrics would be to make a table containing:

Date, users, sessions, pageviews, avg. session time.

However, if I would like to be able to "slice" on location ( country ), how would I build those  tables?

I think if I just add "country" to the same table, it gets huge. Then it would make 1 row for each country, for each day?

Any best practise? Let me know!

  • Hi Anonymous ,

What about creating a slicer with coutry field? Then it will filter the table based on the selected country in the slicer.

If you still need help, please share some data sample and your desired output so that we could help further on it.

    Best  Regards,

    Cherry

I never used Google Analytics. So, I am not sure, how the data looks like.  My Question is, don't you have already Country/Location/Area field in your Analytics Dataset?
