Before the last update I used to be able to click next to or beneath the dashboard in the space around it to deselect visuals. Now I find myself being unable to deselect anything I click on in the dashboard. Typically our dashboards cover all space on the canvas so there is no blank space to click in the dashboard to deselect. I have also tried the escape key and that has not cleared the selection. The only thing that has been working for me is switching tabs or just clicking on the next visual to edit, but it seems unless I open the tab fresh, something has to be selected. Is there something I can change in my settings? Thanks for any help!
I can have the selection pane open and deselect from there but that seems inconvenient as well. Anyone have any other solutions?
Hi @laurahoff97
Which version of Power BI Desktop are you using when you experience this issue?
How did you install it? Through Microsoft Store or install it directly from the Download Center page?
Best Regards,
Jing
I think it was a glitch with a newer downloaded version because once a newer version came along it was fixed. Thanks for offering help!
