Deployment Pipline using folders

Hi All,

Without creating multiple workspaces (Development, Testing, Production) for deployment can we create multiple folders in the same workspace and make it three stages(folders) for deployment in the power BI service? Is it possible? or must multiple workspaces be created for the deployment process?

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Hari

Hi @Shreeram04 ,

If you are using the pipelines features for Power BI service each of the enviroments need to have theyr own workpsace, since the idea of the pipelines is to split the 3 enviroments so that each one have different rules.

You can see that when you try to add to the second stage a workspace it won't allow to add the same one.

Hi @Shreeram04 ,

As @MFelix  said, the three phases should be assigned three different workspaces, and it is not possible to create three folders in the same workspace.

Hi @Shreeram04, It's not possible to deploy items in different folders within same workspace.
Whenever you deploy items from one stage to another, a new workspace will automatically get created.
