Deploying a report to a different data source

Hi all,

Fairly new to PowerBI, is there a way to create a report and then deploy this to a different environment where the data source will be different, but the columns the same?

I have a Development Dynamics CRM environment, and I want to create a report with this as the source, and then copy the report over to a Production Dynamics CRM environment, where the columns will be the same, but the source will be the new Production instance.

Has anyone done something similar, or have any ideas to help out?

Thanks

Yes I would like to know the same thing. This way, I could design an extensive dashboard with reports and then use it in various tenants for different companies. Any tutorial or article about that would be appreciated

@gglezo Check out this thread. May be able to fit your needs especially if you are trying to set up a template. I've done this and it works really well. Initial set up is a little time consuming depending on number of objects, but once it's done - it's really simple to switch the server/databasename. (or other connection)

I have not tried. I think you just need to try to make a simple report. Then replace in Power query  the source manually in all querys. If the differences are really only in the sources, then everything should work
