Delta between last PY and latest current month in table visual

Hi guys,

I'm currently trying to create a measure, that produces a delta between that hast recorded value from last year and the latest current year value in a table visual. 

The data is on a monthly basis:

For the last py data, I used this formular:

for the respectivy current year values I used this one: 

My first try was creating an ernourmous if formular, that checks which months have no data and calculates the last month with data minus the previous years value: 

as you can imagine, its super slow and takes roughly 5 minutes to load the data. 

Is there any decent workaround that I'm missing?

Yes, you can use a much simpler approach using the WINDOW functions.

Please provide sample data that covers your issue or question completely, in a usable format (not as a screenshot).
