Hi all,
I am trying to calculate delta x between two curves: x2 - x1. The final result should be an amount of days.
The dates are stored in the column Cycles[Cycle End Date] and the percentage is calculated using measures Progress BL and ProgressActuals.
ProgressBL = CALCULATE([Weight In Scope],FILTER(ALL('Cycles'),'Cycles'[Cycle End Date]<=MAX('Cycles'[Cycle End Date])), FILTER('Time Registration', 'Time Registration'[Time Path] = "Baseline - Project"))
ProgressActuals = CALCULATE([Weight In Scope],FILTER(ALL('Cycles'),'Cycles'[Cycle End Date]<=MAX('Cycles'[Cycle End Date])), FILTER('Time Registration', 'Time Registration'[Time Path] = "Actuals - Critical"))However, I got stuck here and don't know how to continue and calculate delta x. Delta x should be calculated for every date until the max cycle date of Progress Actuals.
I want to create a histogram where x axis is dates and y axis is the number of days (delta x).
So, how could I calculate this delta x? Maybe there is another way how to do it?
Thank you!
Hi @mkr,
What is the calculation syntax for delta x in your scenario? It would be better to post some dummy dataset. Also, what is the formula for [Weight In Scope]?

Yuliana Gu
Hi Yuliana,
I was trying to calculate two dates: 1. from Baseline - Project, 2. from Actuals -Critical, where the progress percentage is the same. At the end I want to find the difference in days between two curves. I want to plot dates on x axis and number of days (delta x) on y axis. Maybe there is another, better way how to get the final result.
The measure [Weight In Scope] is a measure in Azure Analysis Service and the value is assigned when certain criteria are met. Link contains Excel and Power BI files.
Thank you!
Marija
