Default Filter Slicer

Hi,

My slicers aren't defaulting to what I saved them as before publishing to server. How do I get my Power BI Server Dashboard to default to the slicer/filter values I want? They change every time I reload the dashboard page.

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous
You can switch on the option " Don't allow the end user to save filters on this report." from the desktop/service, and it will always keep the selections the report published with.
The steps to apply from the desktop :

Hi @Anonymous
There is no option to save drill mode, only the hierarchy level/filters/slicers.

Hi @Ritaf1983,

Thanks for the solution. Do you know if I can do the same thing for a map drill down? I am trying to publish the map with the drill mode on feature, but in Power BI Published report service, it doesn't default to "Drill mode on".

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous

Yes, the same feature also retains the drill level.
I recorded the screens showing how it works.
You can download the media file from the link :

It's important to note that sometimes these things get a bit stuck, partly due to the browser's cache. In such cases, you simply need to refresh the screen with F5.

Hi @Ritaf1983,

I watched your video but what I'm asking is for the "Drill Mode: ON" to stay toggled on. In yours, you still have to toggle that on to do so appropriately.

Hi @Ritaf1983,

That's a bummer. That should be a feature request.
