Decomposition tree

I am trying to create a visual in Power BI Desktop that illustrates the connection between products that are decomposed and aggregated. The data in a simplified version looks like this:

Dec.tree.data.sample.png

And the basic concept of the visual is this:

Dec.tree.sample.png

I have tried to work with the Decomposition tree but I am not succeeding in creating anything near what I wish to portray.

How do I create this visual in Power BI Desktop?

Any hints and/or pointers are most welcome 🙂

Decomposition tree is the wrong visual for that as it expects an ever deepening hierarchy with no loopbacks.  Use a Sankey Chart instead.
