Datetime Conversion on Browser showing same as original ...

I have a local function the blasts time back from UTC to local Indiana time.

QuintonOwens13_0-1637692376951.png

When I publish it on the browser I am getting the exact same time for each field. Even though the desktop is showing the change. Why?

Hi @QuintonOwens13 ,

Are the fields Entered Date and Local Entered Date from the actual fields in the data source or are they generated later by adding custom column/calculated column? Are there any special settings for these two fields in Power BI Desktop? The question is why these two fields are displayed differently in  Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service?

Please review the following links and check whether they can give any clue and insights. Thank you.

The "Entered Date" is how I recieved it from the data source. I applied a custom function to it to generate "Local Entered Date". The first picture is how they are coming across on my Power BI Desktop, the 2nd picture is how they are coming across on the client's service in the browser.

Hi @QuintonOwens13 ,

What custom function did you use to generate the Local Entered Date column? Could you please share with me a screenshot of the corresponding formula? Before share it, please mask it if it involve any sensitive info. What data source is the report connected to? What is the connection mode? Thank you.

Best Regards

This doesn't explain why the two times derived from the same column, one being altered by a custom function the other untouched are both returning the same time is the browser. I find this behavior quite odd.
