Dates in wrong order

Hello,    I imported my SQL Table to Power Bi and created a simple chart. The entries have a DateTime field.   The oldest Entries are starting in October 2017 and the newest are now in March 2018...

    Hi flixius,

     

    There are two ways you could refer to.

     

    1. You could use the date hierarchy as the value of X-axis. Then you will get the output below.

     

     

     2. You could create a Month calculated column then sort by date.

     

    The result is below.

hi! i used your advised and i created a new measure that sorted my dates - that's worked, however now i have my visual ordered not month-by-month but from the highest number to the lowest (or in other way around). 

Obviously that's not what i want to show. how can  i sort my visual in different way? i've already sort them by a new column.... i am not able to unticked "sort (des)ascending"
