Dates in chronological order

How to arrange the dates on x - axis in Chronological order? I tried sorting by date, but its still not in order.

    Take a look at the field that you are using for the X-Axis.  What data type is it?  Is it type Text?  If so, it would be sorting it alphabetically.

      Thanks Ross, that data type was in text. I will change it to date

    Hi pranim

     

    have you made sure that your data type for your date column is set to Date?

     

    As you can see below under Formatting.

      why am i getting errors for some of them while changing to date type... (dates were entered manually in excel sheets)

        Hi pranim

         

        It would appear that it is due to your Date format on your PC being different from the Date format that you entered in Excel.

         

        You should be able to change the date format to match your PC by clicking on the drop down data type in your Query Editor and selecting Use Locale
