Date value function not returning as expected

Hi All,

I am using date value function to conver datetime column to date column in SSAS

Datetime column = 2017-08-30 23:59:59.607

Date column = 2017-08-31

Can i know how can i resolve this

Hi @Anonymous,

You said that you wanted to convert datetime column to date column in SSAS, do you mean the data  source is SSAS, then, you need to change data type in Power BI desktop? If you imported data from SSAS into Power BI, then, you can directly change column data type as is shown in below image. While if you created live connection to SSAS, this option is not available.

If you were talking about formatting date column in SSAS side, please have a look at below links. Also, I would suggest you post this question in SSAS forum to get professional advice.

Thanks for your reply, yes i am using live connection to SSAS. if i dint use date function and just changing in properties, i am getting multiple times same date. But if i use Datevalue function, getting single date as expected.

   

Still i need a solution for my question
