I've got a very odd behaviour, I can't explain myself. Hope you can.
I loaded table visual where one column includes the timestamp.
The format I chose is
When configuring the visual for the first time everything looks good.
After closing it and open it again on another PC it looks this way.
Can you explain how this could happen?
I thought about the regional settings - perhaps it is due to the fact that the other PC has German setting while the other is setup as Englisch. Anyway it could be acceptable if the time isn't get lost at all.
Just by changing the timeformat to another and back to initial one the time appears again. You can imagine that if you work simulteanously in a team with different configuration this workaround cannot be the solution for there are more than ten different timestamps effected in the report
You should be able to use a custom format string for your column or measure, so it is not impacted by the computer locale.

Hi @mahoneypat ,
the custom format didn't work. My colleague adapted all timestamps to custom format and saved the pbix.
Once I open it, the timestamps are not the same anymore (yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm instead yyyy-MM-dd HH:nn). Our regional settings are as follows:
Colleagues PC:
My PC:
The same.
Hi Pat @mahoneypat .
Thanks for fast feedback. I'll try and let you know if that fix my issue. Can you explain why computer locale could lead to a complete loss of the time? I can't imagine there is region in the world where the time information is not neccessary.

In Power BI, Dates always have a time component (midnight for just Dates) and times always have a date component (12/31/1899 for just times), it is just a question of if it is displayed or not.
