Hello,
I am new to PowerBI so please be patient with me.
I recently discovered that I could load an excel worksheet into my powerBI desktop app then upload the Myworkspace at work. One Issue I have run into is that the date column, instead of displaying the date in the format of "mm/dd/yyyy", which is the original format in the excel file, it shows the date in the format of, say "Thursday, February 1, 2024". The odd thing is that under "Transform Data" tab in PowerBI, the date is displayed under a correct format.
I am suspecting that when I load data from PowerBI platform into excel, something is messed up. Not sure how I can provide an example since there is sensitive data in the company file.
Any thoughts?

I think it is just a problem with the selected format on the table itself. If you go into the table view and select the date column you can see (and change) the formatting.

OMG thank you!
Unfortunately, when I loaded the file myself into Powerbi and reloaded it back into excel using Blank Query, the date was shown correctly. So I do not know what to do now...
I loaded my the data through my company PowerBI Cloud so that is where I suspected the issue came from.
