Date add 13 months

I want to get a new date by adding 13 months to a date.

So 1-1-2020 (January 1st) plus 13 months would result in 2-1-2021 (February 1st).
It seems DATEADD() cannot add more than 12 months . (Why though?)
How would you go about this?

We used EDATE() to fix it.
