Date Slicer - Dynamically Limit dates range using filters on other fields
Hello,
I have a dates table that has two columns: year and date. It lists all dates from January 1st, 2015 to December 31st, 2019.
I have added a date slicer, and I would like its start and end dates to be updated when I filter the years. For instance, when selecting the year 2016, it would show dates from January 1st, 2016 to December 31st, 2016.
But its start and end date are always January 1st, 2015 and December 31st, 2019, regardless of the filter on years.
What could do the trick?

In my scenario, even change the date slicer to "Between" mode, it can be filtered by Year slicer. Click on the year slicer, turn on "Edit interactions" under Home ribbon, make sure that you select "Filter" for the date slicer.

Change the Date slicer to List mode, when you filter years, the Date slicer will be filtered. Or you can use Timeline slicer instead of built-in slicer.

Unfortunately, switching to list mode defeats the purpose of having a date slicer... I tested the custom timeline slicer and it does the trick, But as many other people already mentioned in their ratings, it is way too big to be practical.
