Date Relationships with Google analytics

Im trying to create a relationship between a csv file and a google analytics account. I have a column in each data table labeled month of year.

The data in my csv file appears as a num 1, 2, 3 etc. The data from google analytics appears also as a number but with a zero 01,02,03 etc.

I keep trying to create a relationship between the colums but I get an error that says "You cannont create a relationship between these two columns because one of the columns must contain unique values."

I have tried to reformat them in every way I know how to get them to match but nothing is working.

Hi @avickery,

In order to create a relationship in between these two columns in Power BI, at least one side of the relationship must be tied to a column that is unique in the table. Please verify a column in one side is unique. There is no many to many relation in Power BI model.

If there are multiple values in columns, you can remove the multiple as follows.

Please click the table, right click-> Power Query Editor, select the column including the values and right click->Remove Duplicates highlighted in yellow. Click Apply and Close, you will get the column having unique values. Finally, you can create relationship between the columns.

If you have any otherproblem, please let me know.

Best Regards,
Angelia
