Hi All,
I m trying to achieve something similiar to the post link
I also tried following the steps from this video link
I would like to have a custom date picker which I can enable and disable using a filter and not use bookmarks.
What I have tried so far :
I have created time period slicer having MTD, YTD , QTD and Custom. When "MTD, YTD or QTD " is selected I would like the the Data Range picker to be disabled and when "Custom" is selected the picker needs to be enabled and user should be able to select a custom date range.
When I do the steps from the above videos, my date range slicer becomes inactive when I place filter condition irrespective of my selections in my slicer .
Filter Measure:
As soon as I remove the filter it custom date range looks fine
Another weird thing is, it seems to be working fine ( I am able to hide/unhide the date slicer) if its the date slicer is a list or dropdown etc other than a date range.
Any help on this would be great. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong.
Thank you for the time.
@shinym201290 were you able to find a solution to this ? I am also facing the same issue.
Hi @shinym201290 ,
It is a little difficult to find the cause and give you a solution only base on these screenshot. In order to make troubleshooting and give you a suitable solution, could you please provide your sample pbix file(exclude sensitive info)? Thank you.
In addition, you can refer the following link to get it.
Custom Range Date Slicer in Power BI with dynamic defaults and more...
Best Regards
Hi @Anonymous - Thank you for the response.
I have seen this above post and it is slightly different from the requirements we want to achieve. As we would like to enable and disable a custom date range using a filter and not by using bookmarks.
I believe it is related to this issue which has been posted :-link
Anyone has found a solution for this is issue?
Thanks for your time.
