Date Period Slicer to filter other Visual

Is it possible to create a Data Segmenter to filter the calendar table in periods (Month, Quarter, Year) so that another bar view uses the information filtered on the x-axis?

I need the bar look to use the X (Month, Quarter or Year) as it is filtered on a slicer.

Have you consider to use timeline slicer visual? It seems like suitable for your requirement.
