Date Label Slicer

Hi

We have a great number of PowerBI reports that use Week, Month (aka Period) and Year as Date Slicers.

The reports are backed by Tabular models that link down to Day.

We have had the request could we a slicer on reports displaying by date label, so in the background Week, Month and Year are already assumed in the logic.

These are the business requirements:

1) Reporting Week - the last complete week that has finished
2) Reporting Month - if in the first week of the month then last month otherwise the current month
3) Reporting Quarter - if in the first week of the quarter then last quarter otherwise the current quarter
4) Reporting Year - if in the first week of the year then last year otherwise the current year
5) Month To Date - if in the first week of the month then last month otherwise complete weeks of this month to the end of last week
6) Quarter To Date - if in the first week of the quarter then last quarter otherwise complete weeks of this quarter to the end of last week
7) Year To Date - if in the first week of the year then last year otherwise complete weeks of this year to the end of last week
8) Current Week - the week we are currently in

Last Year equivalents of the above
Next Year equivalents of the above

This much like SSRS where you can set date ranges to be chosen by for example - "Current Week", "This Quarter YTD", "Reporting Month Last Year"

Cannot find a good example for SSRS but this article kind of shows what i mean - https://stackoverflow.com/questions/33151162/date-range-as-parameter-in-ssrs-using-mdx

A few years ago, SQLcentral had an article on predefined date ranges you could build into an SSRS so only one date range parameter is visible showing like "Current Week", "This Quarter YTD", "Reporting Month Last Year"

Any help would be useful ...
