Date Hierarchy - keep continuous data upon expand

Hi,

In Power BI Desktop I need to replace the built-in auto date hierarchy with a custom one. With built-in date hierarchy I am getting what I need - data is still treated as continuous and x-axis i properly scaled. 

When I do the same with a new calendar table marked as date and a new date hierarchy created I am getting:

what is I don't want. In this case only an the year level data is continuous:

When I expand through the date hierarchy to month it changes to categorical and I have no option to revert it.

Would you be able to help in order to get a result as on the first chart?
