Date Format does not change on Region Settings

I have English (India) as Region Settings in Power BI Desktop. The dates in my imported excel files are in DDMMYYYY format, yet I am getting MMDDYYYY format.

In the image below, I'm using a Gantt chart. I want the circled dates to show "date only" not "date & time" and in DDMMYYYY format. Even if the date format can't be changed I want just remove the pesky time from AC Date which is actually displaying one day earlier than the actual date in the Data Table.

Sorry, I can't reproduce your issue. Are you using the latest version of desktop?

I'm using that Gantt 2.2.3 visual. Other does not seem to fit the data I have.

Updated the original post with a detailed screenshot.

Yeah. It's a Gantt 2.2.3 chart on Power BI Desktop. I tried the change format. It only changes the date format in the Data Table.
