Date Between Slicer Does Not Reactivate

Hi,

I created a slicer with a single option as "Disable" (status = 0) 
So when ticked = 0
I added this to my date between slicer as Filter on Visual and set to show when the status = 1

It's not working, I see the status flipping between 1 and 0
But the date slicer remains active

If the user clicks disable (default)
then the data slicer should have no dates, everything should be light grey
Header text should update to prompt user to enable the slicer

What am I doing wrong here?

    Thanks all,
    Interaction between the Disable Slicer and Timeline Slicer was not on by default.
    As soon as I turned on interaction - it worked as expected.

    hi tecumseh ,

     

    it needs to be three items in play.

     

    • column1 for slicer1
    • column2 for slicer2
    • a measure capturing the selection on slicer1 and used as the visual filter for slicer2.

    In your description, it seems columm1 and measure are the same, which is not OK.

    I think that is what I did (more or less)
    I ticked "Disabled" so status = 0 in the card
    But the slicer is still showing values
    Should only show values when status = 1

      Try to replicate the exact steps from the tutorial to find the difference b/w it and your approach 😉
