Date Between Slicer Always Include All Dates After Refresh
Hi,
I have an issue that may be an easy fix but haven't been able to track down an answer online. If I have a dates between slicer, how can I make it so the slicer always has the max date selected after a refresh.
So, for example, I publish the report on 3/2 with the slicer set as 1/1 - 3/1. Then the dataset refreshes overnight, pulling in the data from 3/2. Now, when a user loads the report, I would like the slicer to be set to 1/1 - 3/2, not the 1/1 - 3/1 that I published the report as. Is this possible?
I believe I have found a solution. My current date table is created in power query. I created one in DAX. Due to the dynamicness of DAX, when the report refreshes with the new day, the report date slicers now include that day. Not sure why it's different functionality for DAX as opposed to the power query date table, but it worked.
I found this solution on an old post from 2018. I'm a dummy and didn't save the link to be able to give that person kudos.
