Dataverse column shows Null values after Column Security is removed.

I recently removed Colum Security from a column in Dataverse. Ever since, the values from the column have shown null in Power Query even though they contain values in the source.

Is there anything I can do get these values to show up?

  • Hi , DavidBrunaugh

Conveniently, you can expand this corresponding column field "jt_disgnosiscategoryname" to check and determine whether all fields of the column are null values, or are null values partially displayed?

In addition, you can confirm that this field "jt_disgnosiscategoryname" is the field "disgnosiscategoryname" in the corresponding data source, and you can expand all the fields to determine if there are similar fields at your convenience, because in my experience, the corresponding field names of Power BI may not necessarily display exactly the same name after successfully connecting to the data source.

Create a Power BI report using the Dataverse connector - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn

If there is still a problem, you can try creating a dataflow on the service to connect to the same Dataverse data source to determine whether the field values can be displayed correctly in the dataflow, and if possible, we can consider using the newly created dataflow corresponding to the desktop connection to achieve the same data output as a work around.

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

      Aniya,

Thank you for you respone and insight.
I have checked the Column Quality and confirmed that the column is showing up 100% Null in Power Query.

I also confirmed that the column in the data source is in fact the same column in my Power Query screenshots.

I went ahead and walked through the process of creating a dataflow in the service and the same issue is present.
