Dataverse Column Names Display Names vs. Renaming in Power BI
- 4 years ago
Hi v-xiaotang ,
thank you for your reply. Unfortunately this wasn't my solution.
I've found it here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-my/blog/power-bi-july-2022-feature-summary/#post-19945-_Toc108099843
Renaming of Columes must be done in model and not in Power query Edit mode...

Hi P3Sven
Thanks for reaching out to us.
>> how can I set it off or at least reset it if I have changed a display name in Dataverse Table?
go to Power Query, and open Advanced Editor, then you can find the previous column names in it, then update them to the new names.

Thanks for finding this. I just spent like 3 hrs setting names I liked for dataverse cols, and now it's just showing the display names as in the underlying model. In theory that's sometimes good and a time saver, but I really wanted to set some names for the report side that were under my own control. What a PITA.
