Dataset not loading in powerbi desktop

Hi,

I just recently downloaded the latest version of Power BI from the official website.  My system configuration is compatible with the Power BI requirements. The data set that i have in excel has just under 2000 rows. It doesnt get loaded for visualization. I have waited almost half hour for it to load. It just keeps showing loading data. Also after making the changes in the Power BI settings iam not able to save those changes. Does anyone have a solution to this. I have even reinstalled power bi and run as adminstrator.

Hi @alexthoma - Power BI maintains logs in %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\Traces.  These can sometimes reveal what’s causing errors during loading.Look for errors related to the data model or any specific messages that point to issues with the data source connection. In Options > Data Load, ensure settings like “Parallel Loading of Tables” are enabled. You might also want to toggle “Background Data” to see if that affects loading.

Power BI maintains a cache that can sometimes become corrupted. Try clearing the cache by navigating to:File > Options and settings > Options > Data Load > Clear cache.

older versions:

still issue exist, you can try with older versions of power bi desktop releases using below links:
