Dataflows take over Ownership. What about the credentials?

Im working with a few BI developers and we are all working on a central dataflow at the moment.

My other team member created the dataflow

When they connected to the on premesis database they add the Server, database name, User Name and Password With Authentication method basic which worked

Later, I took over the ownership dataflow so I could start doing some of the transformations. My Question is, if you take over the dataflow settings, do you also have to know the username and password of the database because when I look at the connection I have this

the server name and database are there but the username and password are not.

So I just want to confirm, anyone who takes over the dataflow must then also add in the userID and password to authenticate the credentials?

If this is the case, do we have to do this every time we take ownership ot just the one time?

thanks in Advance

Debbie

Is this every single time you take over or just the once and then it will remember them the next time?

        hi DebbieE

One dataflow only has one onwer, so every time you take over the dataflow, you need to put your credentials.
