DataSource not found
DataSource.NotFound: Excel Workbook: The 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine. The 64-bit version of the Access Database Engine OLEDB provider may be required to read this type of file.
What to do ? how to download and configure? My data isnt refreshing.
Please advise !
Hi,
You might be getting this error because Power BI (or Excel/Power Query) is trying to access an Excel file using the Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 provider, but that provider isn't installed or correctly configured on your system. Please check if this works,
- Download: Access Database Engine 2016 (64-bit) - Pick AccessDatabaseEngine_X64.exe.
- Install it (run as Admin).
- If error: use Command Prompt if 32 bit of office installation - AccessDatabaseEngine_X64.exe /quiet
- Restart Power BI / Excel.
- Refresh your data.
Thanks,
Bhavin

What is your data source? Are you trying to connect to Access but don't have it installed?

The data source is sharepoint.

I had the same issue, because I used the xls file in Sharepoint.
Please check your Excel version what is used in Sharepoint and your power BI. You might use xls file. If yes, you can resave your old Excel file to the xlsx and change it is your power BI desktop too.

If you're getting the Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0 error while connecting to an Excel file stored on SharePoint, it's may be because you're using the Excel or Web connector, which tries to use local OLEDB drivers.
Use the SharePoint Folder connector instead:
In Power BI: Get Data → SharePoint Folder
Enter your site URL
Authenticate if prompted
Filter to your Excel file and click Combine & Load
