DataFormat.Error: We reached the end of the buffer error from Power BI + Source Data from Azure Blob

I am using Power Source as Azure Blob Storage folder. While connecting the JSON file from Azure Blob Storage facing an error "DataFormat.Error: We reached the end of the buffer".

Hi @Anonymous , 

 

You may try to upgrade the Power BI Desktop to the latest version 2.82.5858.961 , and maybe the 64-bit Desktop will overcome this issue.

Hi Amy,

 

Thanks for sharing your solution. 

 

However, I tried below steps before rasing this issue. 

 

- Yes, I installed latest desktop version (Jun-2020), but still no luck. 

- Also used Table.Buffer in M-Code, but still no luck.

Hi,

 

Can you check whether JSON file has any data? Usually, we get this error when you trying to import a blank JSON file.

Hi Venkata Nalla, 

 

It gives 0 Bytes for the JSON file which I used. But in AZURE BLOB it shows 27 MB. Where the data is missing in my case.
