DataFormat.Error: We couldn't convert to Number. Details CG105

Hello,

I am uploading an excel database which there is a column with "Plant" information, that could be just numbers (0951) or number mixed with letters (53A0). In the moment it is uploaded, this column does already suffer a change to "text", but when I close&apply, it brings me erros into this column with the message: "DataFormat.Error: We couldn't convert to Number. Details CG105".

Any ideas about this error?

Thank yor for the support.

Hi @Frederico,

Are you sure that when you are making the final step in the query that is getting as text and not as number?

When you do an upload from a excel spreadsheet by default it give the format of the first 200 rows, so if there is only numbers it will transform to numbers and not text.

Go to the query editor and lookup the step with the name Changed Type (should be the 2nd or 3rd one on the list on the right) then go to the column Plant and check if it's number or text, then force it to text.

Should fix your problem.

Hi Frederico,

You got this error because your columnc contents are not only numbers they are alphanumeric so they couldnt totally get converted.

Thanks!
