Data update - corporate network source
Hi,
I have some reports and databases in Power BI.
The database source of one of my reports is a several Excel (.xlsx) files and it's wight is more than 2 GB - and I must run the Desktop file (.pbix), update this manually in Power BI Desktop then Publish, everyday. This work takes 50 minutes at less.
How can I update this database directly in Power BI, and not Desktop then Publish?
I had tried to use a Gateway, I do install On-premises data Gateway but I got some errors on credentials.
The source files is on our corporate network.
What can I do? Thanks.

You may forget this, please.
This have a dumb solution that is hit each credentials in Gateway config. then press "Enter".
Thank you so much for you help! :)

Hi alexandrecr,
So your requirement is to refresh data automatically in power bi service, right? You should install on-premises data gateway or personal gateway. Don't forget to configure data source in "Manage Gateway" in power bi service. In addtion, what credential error you have encountered with, which kind of data source are power bi connecting to. Could you show some screenshots or gateway loggings?

Yes, right! I want to refresh data automatically in Power BI service
I installed on-premises data gateway.
In this topic (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-gateway-getting-started) is mentioned four main steps:
- Install the gateway on a local computer, using the appropriate mode
- Add users to the gateway, so they can access on-premises data sources
- Connect to data sources, so they can be used in reports and dashboards
- Refresh on-premises data, so Power BI reports are up to date
I'm not sure if I had added users to gateway or connect to data sources. How I could do this?
I got the following errors in "data source credentials"
Transtaltion to english: "your data source can't be refreshed becausse your credentials is invalid. Update your credentials and try again."
If i hit "Edit Credentials" I got the second screen, with my source path and a "authentication method" - there is only one authentication method as option.
